PICKUP: Air Jordan Retro 9 - "Charcoal"

It's been a minute since I updated this blog any. Genuinely busy these days, but that's a good thing. Good because being busy for me generates more cash. More cash results in posts like this. I scooped the "Charcoal" Air Jordan Retro 9 last month. My favorite pair from the original Air Jordan IX line. This retro is a great looking shoe. I believe fans of the original will be pleased with what they see. I've heard that some people have found the midsole to be cheaply painted on previous Retro 9 releases, so I'll have to see how that works out after wearing. Paint chipping or not, panties will be dropped in the very near future.

PICKUP: Air Jordan Retro 6 - "Infrared Pack"

One of my rare recent Jordan pickups, the Air Jordan Infrared 6 Pack. The Black/Infrared 6 was the first Jordan I had when I was a kid, and it remains one of my all-time favorites. I'm pretty satisfied with this purchase, depsite the fact that they are NOT done in an infrared shade. What's even worse is that the treys and bag logos feature the actual infrared color. Otherwise, these are pretty dope. And those dropping panties don't know the difference.

PICKUP: adidas TS Commander Dwight Howard PE

Here we have a Dwight Howard player exclusive of the adidas TS Commander. Essentially looks like the general release version, but with some added personalization. Obviously the Superman logos on the back are the biggest difference. Perhaps not as noticeable is a biblical reference written beneath each logo. There's also an improvement in the materials used. Speaking of materials - ladies need to drop them panties when they see that I have these bad boys. Now I just need to figure out how to fit a size 18 shoe.

I used to use extra socks when I was a kid. To fit bigger shoes, not enhance my package.

PICKUP: Nike Trainer 1 "Vintage Nike Box"

Lately, I've found myself more into trainers that I've ever been. I hate the way I look in runners (wide, flat feet), and I'm not always in the mood to wear basketball shoes. Trainers offer the perfect solution. This particular pair was a must-scoop for me, because of the vintage Nike box theme. I'm rarely ever one for a loud sneaker design, but this was obtained for sentimental reasons more than anything. Plus, they get them panties dropping, so I'm not complaining.

I think I've recaptured my old level of passion for sneakers ever since I started writing for SC.

SpaghettiOs Pulled From Shelves!

WASHINGTON – Two popular grocery items are being pulled off the shelves — SpaghettiOs that weren't adequately heated during processing, and Marie Callender's frozen dinners that pose a salmonella risk.

The Department of Agriculture announced both recalls late Thursday. Conagra foods is recalling all Marie Callender's brand cheesy chicken and rice frozen meals after they were possibly linked to an outbreak of 30 salmonella illnesses in 15 states.

And Campbell Soup Co. is recalling 15 million pounds of SpaghettiOs with meatballs after a cooker malfunctioned at one of the company's plants in Texas.

ConAgra said it was recalling the Marie Callender's meals after the company was informed by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of at least eight people who had fallen ill with salmonella poisoning after eating the dinners.

Ain't that some bullshit! You know the end is near when a kid can't even enjoy a kid of SpaghettiOs anymore. And how do you manage to fuck up SpaghettiOs? Unruly motherfuckers.

I hate that I only seem to make it back to my blog for R.I.P. posts and hood fights - but it is what it is. Yesterday, the game that I love lost a legend. Coach John Wooden passed away at the age of 99. Though it was inevitable, you always hoped Coach would defy the odds. Such a selfless human being with an insurmountable amount of knowledge, the world will truly miss his presence and general greatness. I know his loved ones do not feel that he lived anything less than a stellar life. Hopefully I can be as influential to my own children as he was to each kid he ever invested time into. May he rest in peace.

One thing I can always appreciate about hiphop is a man who made his legacy without a gimmick, without a beef, without following trends, and without talking about shit that he didn't know. Guru was authentic. Guru was unique. Guru was real. Guru was gifted. I salute you, brother.

That Solar "letter" - I don't believe any of it for a second. I don't believe that Guru went out with that kind of hate in his heart for Primo. Was there relationship what it once was? Probably not. When I first saw this colorway, I was broke. The numbers were said to be limited and they were only being carried at select retailers. I figured that I'd never get the chance to own them. By the grace of...whoever cares about me, my fortunes have been reversed. I am now paid - and I was able to secure these panty droppers here. The "Magic Beast" Supernatural Commander pays tribute to Dwight Howard's "Superman" alter-ego - with the blue, red, and yellow colorway. Making this shoe unique is the speckled black upper, which represents the galaxy. You probably didn't need that explanation, but I gave it to you anyways. These are dope - and I'm happy to own them. And the panties that will be dropped when they're seen on my feet.

In a move that doesn't shock most Bronco fans, the team acquired quarterback Brady Quinn from the Cleveland Browns. Quinn's NFL career has been rocky (no pun), to say the least. After three seasons in Cleveland, he has 10 touchdown passes, 9 interceptions, and a 52% completion percentage in 14 games. Some people say those numbers reflect the fact that he's not a long term answer at the position. Some say he's never gotten a fair chance to run the show. And of course, there are others that attribute his failures to playing in that shithole in Ohio. At the very least, he is an interesting acquisition for the Broncos, who are searching for a franchise quarterback after last year's divorce with the Diabetic Demon. While his tools (PAUSE!) may not be as impressive as you'd like, having a known quarterback guy like Josh McDaniels to work with him is appealing. Josh has been a fan of his since his days at Notre Dame - and even tried to pry Quinn in a trade last season.

It remains to be seen how this works out. I don't mind the trade because Denver really gave up nothing. Their entire offseason has been really solid. I like Josh's philosophy of bringing in a deep pool of solid talent. As opposed to pouring all your money into a big time free agent who will most likely not be worth it.

Its been a long time since I've written in my blog. I chime in every now and then with a funny video or some new music, but not much else. It isn't that I've lost interest. The Dunk Contest Doesn't Need Superstars...It Needs Good Dunkers

This weekend, we wrapped up another All-Star weekend. It was an event that was supposed to stand the test of time, due to the fact that the big game took place in Jerry Jones' new billion dollar Cowboys Stadium. Only, for most of us, we'll remember this weekend for how extremely uneventful it actually was. To be fair - the All-Star game was pretty decent. As usual, it started slow and finished strong. On top of that, the atmosphere in that huge stadium was incredible. Visually, it was surreal to watch. Moving away from that, we have the other events that make up All-Star weekend.

First, you have this celebrity game. Which, every year, seems to get worse. I literally watch pee wee leagues play more exciting and competitive games. Remember Rock-N-Jock on MTV in the mid 90's? Those games were entertaining. The NBA's toned down version is brutal to watch. C-list celebrities with no actual talent, corny ass Harlem Globe Trotters, WNBA players who routinely blow layups, and Terrell Owens. And if T.O. doesn't have it going, the game has no redeeming qualities. Whatsoever. Fuckin Michael Rapaport won the MVP of the game with 4 points. 4 fuckin points.

Then you have the weekends newest event, H.O.R.S.E. Which was literally the biggest piece of shit game of H.O.R.S.E. you will ever see. First, the NBA brings in guys with zero personality and zero desire to turn this into an enjoyable event. Kevin Durant just shoots three pointers. Omri Casspi still can't believe he's invited. Rajon Rondo, a notoriously poor shooter, is draining everything - and looks incredibly depressed while doing it. The game was so long and boring, they ended up having to go to a three point shootout with Durant and Rondo. Which turned out to be 100 times more exciting than the actual event. Why not invite guys with personality or guys that are known to do trick shots? Kevin Love shoots full court shots at a curiously high percentage. LeBron James seems to make an underhanded three pointer from half court before every game. Steve Nash can make soccer style shots with his head and feet. Dwight Howard set a world record this weekend for longest shot while sitting down. Monta Ellis hit a backwards three pointer from the stands in a recent practice video. Where were these guys? The sad part is Durant, now a two time champion, will be back next year. And all he's going to do is shoot threes.

When did the three point shootout become so wack? I felt like I wasn't really watching the best shooters in the game. I'm not saying that because Paul Pierce won - but rather because I feel this contest used to really showcase the NBA's sharpshooters. Plus, its only two rounds now? Booo.

The Shooting Stars and Skills Challenge were good events. I have no complaints there.

However, that does bring me to the Slam Dunk Contest. Which, I can't even believe I witnessed. It was, by far, the most pathetic display I've ever seen in a dunk contest. When's the last time you came back from an All-Star weekend and didn't have ONE memorable dunk to talk about? Not one. You had Nate Robinson stealing another trophy because he's a midget. DeMar DeRozan minimal creativity. Gerald Wallace looking like some body's old ass uncle that still thinks he's one of the "fellas." Shannon Brown being one of the biggest flops in dunk contest history with his 'all hops/no style' garbage. Just an awful awful display. Has Nate Robinson outright won any of his dunk titles? I'm not hating - he just hasn't had a "Vince Carter" contest. I still think Iggy had the best shit in the first contest. I don't necessarily think Dwight was that great last year - but he basically helped Nate beat him with the Kryptonate shit. And this year, he won it by default. He's an impressive athlete - and a great dunker. He's also very "*" worthy.

Anyways, I'm done ranting. One person could have saved that disastrous dunk contest. A small forward in Cleveland, Ohio. But he flaked, because he's a vagina. So I blame him for everything.

Here's to hoping LeBron and Dwight do the contest next year. Or that the NBA just explores new ways to invite players. Fuckin make them submit an audition tape to the selection committee. Get guys who not only want to be in it - but have the goods.

I woke up early this morning to a commercial that irritated me a little. It was for a handless soap dispenser. This is how lazy we've gotten. But instead of acknowledging that we're all fat and lazy pieces of shit, they came up with another explanation for why this is needed. Apparently, there's a huge buildup of germs on the top of a soap pump that rubs off on your hands when you use it. Which, I can completely understand. That makes a lot of sense. What I don't get is...why that matters? Because after you fuckin pump the soap...you wash your hands. For most of us, somewhat thoroughly. I'm 26 (almost...Jesus Christ) years old. The mass off disgustingness on the top of the soap pump ain't ever done anything substantial to me. And I'm not about to get fleeced for a 20 dollar bottle of soap that automatically squirts some soap out when I put my hand under it. Fuck you.

The End Of An Era...sort of...

For the last 15 years, I've been a regular watcher of Conan O'Brien's late night shows. I can't say I've never missed an episode, but I've tuned in for the vast majority of them. The man is a genius and one of the few people who can consistently generate laughs from me. I know taking over the Tonight Show was a big deal to him. He values the prestige of the franchise - and represented it as well as anybody could have asked him to. This whole situation with Leno is truly unfortunate and essentially robs Conan of what was his dream job. The blame falls mainly on the NBC execs, who are screwing Conan out of a gig because of bad choices they made. I also shift some towards Leno, as I'm a firm believer that you don't pass the torch...and ask for it back. It remains to be seen what will happen to Conan. Most people have him landing his own show on Fox. Which, in the end, may work out for the best as it would probably allow Conan to bring back the edgy comedy that he toned down for the Tonight Show. Whatever the case, I hope we see him back on television more sooner than later. Complete with Andy, Max, La Bamba, and everything that makes his show the most solid late night watch.

I was fully prepared to start this blog off with "unless you've been living under a rock." Then I realized how much of an insensitive piece of shit I am. It wasn't intentional. I promise. I do want to speak about this very tragic situation in Haiti though. I read today that it was the strongest quake in 200 years. Completely surreal. I cannot begin to imagine what the people of Haiti are going through. A country, that didn't have much to begin with, in utter shambles. It deeply pains me to see the carnage that occurred as a result of that earthquake.

Life As A Bronco Fan In The Post-Elway Era Is Depressing

I feel like I've seen this before. It's probably because I have. The final day of the season. The Broncos need a win to keep themselves in a playoff scenario. And not only do they come up short, they straight up lay an egg. Yesterday's game against the Chiefs proved to be no different as the Broncos were creamed (yeah, it was so bad that I said "creamed") by the Kansas City Chiefs 44-24. AT HOME.

What went wrong? There's a laundry list. It started earlier in the week when the rift between coach Josh McDaniels and star wide receiver Brandon Marshall once again reared its ugly head, resulting in the team's best player being benched. It continued with the benching of starting tight end Tony Scheffler, apparently because of his attitude toward McDaniels. These are the same two players that were at odds with the coach at the beginning of the season. The picture on the field wasn't anymore pretty. 44 points given up. 259 rushing yards from KC running back Jamaal Charles. Three interceptions thrown by Kyle Orton, two returned for touchdowns. Missed tackles. Dropped passes. An all too familiar scene for Bronco fans on the last day of the season.

For the second year in a row, the Broncos were humiliated by an AFC West rival in the final game of the season to end their playoff hopes. Three out of the last four years, they've lost on the final day of the season to miss the playoffs. The difference this year is that they wouldn't have made it had they won, but you'd still like to see the fighting spirit in your team. Especially in a game against an inferior opponent at home. Yesterday, I didn't even know how to feel about the game. I just know that I've been a Bronco fan since I was in the crib. And I deserve more than this. All of us deserve more than this. I invest too much of myself into this team for them to continuously embarrass themselves like this.

It must get better. We don't accept this in Denver. I thought the years where we routinely got humiliated in the Super Bowl were bad. This is next level.

For all that's been said about President Obama in regards to what he's not doing, I do feel like he's tried to address the issues that he campaigned on. Today, the U.S. Senate passed a health care reform bill via 60-39 vote to give the President a victory on perhaps his biggest domestic priority. The bill is expected to supply health care to an addition 30 million Americans. Commenting on the passing of the new bill, President Obama said, "If passed, this will be the most important piece of social legislation since the Social Security Act passed in the 1930s."

I can't say I'm familiar with every last detail of this bill. Apparently, nobody can say they are. I am, however, happy to see it passed. I believe the main concern is to get the bill passed first. Especially one that has been as difficult to pass as this one. Then, you like to think that additional changes can be made in the future. Similar to how voting rights were specifically addressed after the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Hopefully this is a sign of more great things to happen for our country. I know everybody isn't a fan of the President, but, we should all be fans of progress and taking care of each other. And I don't mean that literally, you socialism fearing schmucks.

The Denver Broncos depress me. Time and time again. Ever since Elway left, this team has done nothing but choke when it matters. I'm one of those people who'd rather have my team be flat out awful than give me any kind of false hope. Routinely, the Broncos get off to hot starts, slow down toward the middle, and completely flame out in the end. This season, they're proving to be consistent in their inconsistency. Fuckers. Tired of this shit.

Brittany Murphy, of Clueless / 8 Mile fame, passed away this weekend from was is being reported as cardiac arrest. She was only 32 years old. Rest In Pace, Brittany.

This year has been filled with a seemingly endless amount of celebrity deaths. From the iconic Michael Jackson to popular TV pitchman, Billy Mays. As I get older, I think about my own mortality more often. Start calculating weird shit in my mind. For instance, at the age of 25, I figure I'll live at least two more 25-year periods. Did I even say that right? Fuck it. That's assuming I start taking my health seriously and shit. Which I don't. At all. Putting it into that kind of perspective, it makes me nervous as hell. I start thinking about what happens to you after you die and my stomach gets queasy. Then after I calm down, I realize that I need to make the most of the life I'm living. Life itself is such an incredible and improbable gift. I love living. If I had the option of living forever, I'd snatch that up with the quickness. I know its not natural - but that's what happens when people aren't made aware of the purpose of their lives. I blame God and his secrets. Saying that, I wish everybody out there a happy and safe holiday season. I hope you're out there doing something memorable and remarkable. Live it up.

R.I.P. Eddie "Umaga" Fatu

This past Friday, the world of professional wrestling suffered another untimely death. Eki "Eddie" Fatu, 36, passed away after suffering a series of massive heart attacks. There's speculation over whether or not the heart attack was brought about by drug use, but nothing has been confirmed. Fatu made his WWE debut in 2002 and has worked several different gimmicks over the seven year span. His most notable career moment was headlining Wrestlemania 23 as Umaga in a match that featured a 'hair vs. hair' stipulation with Vince McMahon and Donald Trump. He was released from World Wrestling Entertainment this past June over what some sources say was a refusal to attend a rehabilitation center. In recent years, the WWE has been under fire for their Wellness Policy and has taken certain steps to clean their name up a bit. Most recently, Fatu worked with Hulk Hogan as a part of the "Hulkamania" tour in Australia, which ended in late November. He is survived by his wife.

I took this picture of Fatu in a match that pitted him against Brian Kendrick during an episode of WWE Monday Night Raw on January 22, 2008. It was the last time I saw him wrestle live.

I've said a lot of things about Allen Iverson, some good and some bad. What people may not know is that the guy is one of my favorite players. I moved to Hampton, the birthplace of "Bubbachuck", in 1994. His senior year at Bethel High School. You couldn't escape the buzz that surrounded this kid if you tried. Everywhere you went, you heard about this standout high school athlete (he was a good football player, as well) that was on his way to Georgetown University under the guidance of the great John Thompson. A 'local hero' doesn't sum up what he meant and still means to kids here. He's one of the face's of Virginia sports. Unfortunately, at times, he's also been the face of a string of controversial athletes that have come out of Virginia.

The disappointment I've expressed in regards to Allen Iverson has never come from a bad place. I just want to see the man succeed. Over the last 15 years, I've watched him morph from an immature kid into a Hall of Fame NBA legend. The road has been bumpy at times, but he's emerged at a respectable man.

Yesterday's press conference in Philadelphia was definitely one of those full circle moments. It was an emotional day for Allen and understandably so. Here's the place where A.I. carved his path and enshrined himself as one of the true legends of the game actually bringing him back. And we're not talking about any old sports city. We're talking Philadelphia. Where the athletes who receive unconditional love from the fans in that city are far in between. When Allen goes to Denver, its "good move, but can he share with Carmelo." When he goes to Detroit, its "I'm not sure about this. How does he fit into this well oiled machine?" When he goes to Memphis, "I don't see how this works. They already have two young guards." In Philadelphia, he's welcomed back with open arms. As a fan, I'm glad to see it.

I do want him to win a ring before he hangs it up, but how do you blame a man who wants to win as a starter? Instead of trying to latch on to a contender late in his career. He may not always go about things the right way, but his intentions are commendable.

Mayweather/Pacquiao On For March 13th?

According to reports surfacing early this morning, Manny Pacquiao has agreed to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. on March 13, 2010. The fight hasn't officially been announced, but promoter Bob Arum has confirmed the meeting with Pacquiao, that Pacquiao signed off on the March 13th date, and said the results were "positive." Moving forward, some minor details need to be worked out with Mayweather's camp and Golden Boy promotions. Otherwise, it looks like we have our dream super fight.

Remember how people were saying that boxing was on the verge of death and that MMA was taking over? Insert: Mayweather/Pacquiao. Likely to be the biggest PPV sporting event of all time. They're saying both fighters can make somewhere between 40-50 million dollars. Also, that this fight has the potential to do 3 million PPV buys. This is an incredible day for sports, and in particular, the sport of boxing. Aside from all the money and figures, we have the two best pound for pound fighters in the sport. Very different styles. Very different personalities. Very different backgrounds. I've already seen the feuding amongst fans for months. African-Americans vs. Filipinos. Americans vs. Filipinos. Once this fight is announced, I expect it to take on a very intense tone.

I'm thrilled right now. I can't wait until HBO premieres Mayweather/Pacquiao 24/7.

The Broncos have went from 6-0 to awful. In a very short amount of time. They lost to Washington this past weekend. Needless to say, I was very disgusted in our performance. I've been viewing Washington as the "get back on track" game for the last couple weeks - and not only do we lose it, we lose it heading into an AFC West showdown with the Chargers next week. Ugh.

The Magic lost Jameer Nelson to a torn meniscus this week. That made me a very sad panda. Seriously...this team doesn't catch a break. Especially this season. Rashard Lewis gets suspended for "illegal substances." Vince Carter sprains an ankle. Ryan Anderson sprains an ankle. JJ Redick sprains an ankle. Matt Barnes and Brandon Bass have been playing with flu symptoms. And Marcin Gortat is hurt as well. It really gets to a point where you figure its just not meant to be. It's gotten so bad that I've gotten behind the Magic bringing in Allen Iverson to fill in. I'm actually for the idea. That's how bad it is.

Bill Belichick is a lunatic. And so are people trying to justify the call. Peyton Manning with less than 30 yards? I'd rather send my daughter off to Chuck E. Cheese with R. Kelly.

This past week, news spread like wildfires that wrestling icon "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan would be returning to the business of professional wrestling. He made the announcement that he has signed on with TNA Wrestling this past Wednesday at Madison Square Garden. The speculation has been that he'd be in charge of the "creative" department in the company, but his status as an in-ring competitor is uncertain. Now this is a big deal because Vince McMahon's WWE promotion has had zero competition since McMahon himself bought rival company WCW in 2001. TNA is a young upstart promotion that has made several acquisitions over the last few years that they feel helps them compete with the top dog. Thus far, even though they've had success as a very solid alternate, they've hardly been able to label themselves as competition to the WWE. Enter: Hulk Hogan. Now the man isn't the draw he was 10-20 years ago - but he is the biggest star in the history of the business. One couldn't help but to be somewhat interested in what he has left, and more importantly, if he can help jump start another boom period in professional wrestling by making TNA a viable competitor.

On a personal level, this guy is my favorite professional wrestler ever. I grew up as a Hulkamaniac and never get tired of seeing him for the nostalgia factor.

Hogan was still at his best as Hollywood Hogan though. nWo 4 Life, bitches!

I have to say, I've been in a slump with Air Jordans as of late. And its their fault, because they're producing a bunch of bullshit these days. The recent retro release of the Jordan I metallic models are a beacon of light in the shitty, dark tunnel known as modern day Jordan Brand. These are very well executed. The pebbled leather, the shiny metallic trim, and the return of the fuckin Jordan hangtag (!!!!!) really highlight this release for me. I wish they were cut a little higher like the OG model, but I'll live with it. Jin Tha MC Says He'll Battle Dizaster

I haven't really written about battles yet, but I've become increasingly more interested in them lately. Mostly, the battles from the Grind Time camp.

I checked this video out to see that Jin has responded to and accepted Dizaster's challenge for a battle. In addition, he crazily says he wants to battle Illmaculate on the same day. Personally, I hope this clown loses both times. I've never really liked Jin. He was a novelty act who is still only adored by Asian people who cling to him because he's one of their own. Not that Jin wasn't okay, because he was. He was a good battler. He's just one of those annoying people who become even more annoying because of his weird ass cult following (see: Manny Pacquiao). I don't really give a fuck what happens with Dizaster, but if for some reason Illmaculate takes him up on his challenge, I hope he serves him up a hot one. Although, after his triumphant victory over TheSaurus, I'm not sure if its worth it.

Wouldn't mind seeing it though. Hope they sign this up for Grind Time soon.

It's that time of the year again. The NBA kicked off its 63rd year last night; in theory at least. For myself, the season officially tipped off tonight in sunny Orlando, Florida. I have to say, the start of a new NBA season takes on a completely different tone when you lose in the Finals. I feel angry - like I want to completely skip these 82 games, 3 rounds of the playoffs, and see those punk ass Lakers in the Finals again. Partially because I hate them, and also because I feel like we're a better basketball team than we showed. I still find it amusing that people feel as if we weren't competitive at all, when a Courtney Lee converted layup and a Dwight Howard free throw could have made it a 3-1 series lead for Orlando. No excuses though, as converting in crunch time is all part of the game.

Moving forward, we started tonight with a very impressive looking win against our opening round playoff opponent from last year, the Philadelphia 76ers. It was a balanced attack lead by Dwight Howard, but complimented by inspiring play from Jason Williams and Ryan Anderson. Notice those two names. And then believe me when I tell you we're incredibly deep. All those weird ass myths about Hedo Turkoglu being our "heart and soul" are far fetched at best - and we will be back in June. And I don't give a fuck what you think. Cleveland got mollywopped by the Raptors tonight. This is the team you want to see take on LA so you can get your corny ass LeBron vs. Kobe dream match? We were better than them last year. And we still are. Deal with it.

My friend AirKarina indicated today that she'd like to find an artist for her future Optimus Prime tattoo. Me being the generous person I am, I offered her up a rendering (NO CHARGE!) that she could consider for the design. Unfortunately, I'm dealing with somebody incredibly ungrateful - so she just laughed at me. Not considering my feelings in the least bit. But I've rebounded a bit - and fuck it. If she doesn't like it, I'm sure the rest of the world will. So I bring to you, "Optimus Prime," by yours truly.

Black People At The Angels Game!!!!!!!!!

You know when you have good friends? When their team loses - and they still come through with silly shit like this for you. During game 3 of the ALCS, I noticed a severe lack of pigment in the stands. Severe. It's not like I go around looking for black people in every crowd, but you can't help but notice. The first thing I observed was how corny the fans were. Banging "thundersticks" and swirling monkeys in the air. So naturally, I wonder if any black people were corny enough to partake in this bullshit. So I'm scouring the crowd for black people, literally the entire game. I saw none. NONE. I don't even remember seeing any Latinos or Asians to be honest. So I asked my boy Gil (trbo823 for ISSers), who had tickets to game 4, to find me a black person at the game.

There were qualifications that had to be met though! One, they couldn't be a Yankees fan. Two, they had to have a thunderstick. Sure enough, despite the loss (they got FUCKED up), Gil came through with the picture. You should have already clicked that shit by now. In the picture, you see a black man with his black son (John Muhammad and Lee Malvo looking motherfuckers) and what I have been promised is a thunderstick in front of them. You know, when its a job well done, its a job well done. Gil came through in the clutch. Last night, he was the only dude in an Angels cap who did.

You still see that swarm of white people though. You see that shit? How can you lack that much cultural diversity at a sporting event in fucking CALIFORNIA?

The Jordan Brand never ceases to amaze. And I don't mean that in no good way. Who thought it'd be a good idea to release an all white Jordan II...give it some 3M accents...and call it a release? These are terrible and tacky. Ugly and unnecessary. Asinine and atrocious. Remember the days when wearing Jordans was cool? Don't worry, it's been so long I'm starting to forget as well.

PICKUP: Dwight Howard Adidas TS Commander LT

Just got these bad boys in. I've been looking forward to their release for months. The Adidas TS Commander LT. These are so sick. The way the blue pops off of the gray. I was so glad they didn't do a predictable white/blue colorway for Dwight this year. They're very comfortable on the foot - and have this soft sock lining that makes me want to ejaculate when I touch it. Yes, ejaculate. Needless to say, I'm pleased with my purchase. Can't wait to step outside (figures its raining...) and pull some broads with my footwear. Not that I need it - but it doesn't hurt.

R.I.P. Captain Lou Albano

I'd like to take a moment to recognize a pro wrestling LEGEND. Today, Captain Lou Albano died at the age of 76. For those who don't know, Albano was an iconic professional wrestler/manager who gained most of his notoriety in the 1980's boom period. He was a top tier manager when managing still meant something in wrestling. Some may also remember him as Cydni Lauper's father in the "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" video. Another notable project he was involved in was starring as Super Mario on the "Super Mario Bros. Super Show!" His fame would go on to subside a bit in the late 90's and 2000's, but he was still a very beloved figure in the wrestling community. Today, I've come across a lot of people who haven't cared much about wrestling in years, but do remember Captain Lou Albano. So I just want to say Rest In Peace to Captain Lou. You were a relevant piece of my childhood, and I'll never forget that.
